Content Marketing has been around for eons, but it’s only in the last decade or so that the term has become ubiquitous in marketing circles. In a nutshell, Content Marketing is about developing content which is extremely valuable to a prospective customer, and differs according to what stage of the buying cycle they are at – from total stranger (awareness stage) to full-blown customer and evangelist. Content Marketing is not the same as Inbound Marketing, but it does play a crucial part in every part of the inbound methodology. A content calendar is also a critical component of a good outbound marketing strategy.
